FAQ - Hesed Health

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?

Simply call or email us. Our administrator will answer your questions, help determine the best service for your needs, and book you with the clinician who is the best fit. This gives visitors a clear next step and often reduces hesitation before booking.

Are your services covered by insurance? Do you offer direct billing?

Yes. Our physiotherapy services are covered by most extended health benefit plans, and our psychotherapy services are typically covered under mental health or counselling benefits. We also offer direct billing for most insurance providers. Coverage may vary depending on your plan and, for psychotherapy, some insurance companies have specific provider requirements. Our administrator will be happy to help verify your coverage before your first appointment. We are not covered by OHIP.

Where are you located?

You’ll find us at 200 Mostar St., Unit A114, Stouffville, ON.

Do you offer both in-person and virtual appointments?

Yes! We offer in-person appointments at our Stouffville clinic and secure virtual psychotherapy sessions through Jane App, our encrypted healthcare platform. At this time, virtual appointments are available for psychotherapy services only.

How do you help me choose the right therapist?

Our administrator will take the time to learn a little about what you’re looking for, your goals, and any preferences you may have. From there, we’ll recommend the therapist who is the best fit for your needs. You can also explore our team biographies and availability on our website if you’d like to choose someone yourself.

Do you have a waitlist?

Depending on the season and therapist availability, there may be a waitlist. We maintain our waitlist in the order that requests are received and will contact you as soon as an appointment becomes available. When we reach out, we ask that you respond within a reasonable timeframe. If we don’t hear back after our follow-up attempts, we’ll remove your name from the waitlist so we can offer the appointment to the next client. You’re always welcome to contact us again if you’d like to be added back.

What is your cancellation policy?

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. We understand that emergencies and unexpected situations do arise, and we’ll always do our best to be understanding. At the same time, late cancellations prevent us from offering that appointment to another client who may have been waiting for care, so we appreciate your consideration.
